The ultimate question we often receive is which is the best main battle tank in the world and still in service. The question is still here, which is the greatest modern Main Battle Tank (MBT) and why. We counted our top 5 analysis based on the combined score of protection, firepower, accuracy and mobility of armored beasts. All of the tanks mentioned here are incredibly powerful and devastating, however, none of them had opportunity to engage each other during military operations yet.

The current analysis is based on technical specifications and available public data. The Russian military and security services field quite a variety of firearms, Western and domestic. But from all of these guns/weapons, which could be considered the best? Here is a few to consider and once again its not word about Russian-made guns, but Russian-used guns:

AK-74M

The AK-74M is ubiquitous in the Russian Armed Forces. In 2018, it is even replacing the shorter AKS-74U as the armament for support crew. The rifle is light, reliable, has low recoil and compact with the standard issue folding plastic buttstock.

While by some Western standards it may be considered outdated ergonomically, the AK-74M is one of the best AKs out there, with Russian special operations forces continuing to use the rifle in combat abroad and domestically.

In the Syrian Civil War, AK-74Ms are popular among all sides as a reliable and accurate weapon, with the rifle beating out the Iranian KH2002 during 2008 trials.

The Most Important Beards in U.S. Military History

us army special forces afghanistan - The Most Important Beards in U.S. Military History
Prev1 of 2

The military community has seen various comebacks through history, and they can resist all it wants but not beards. Today, the U.S. Special Operations Forces had popularized beards to that point that almost every operator is bearded during deployment, but still, for the regular soldiers, it is forbidden.

The Official Journal of the Human Behavior and Evolution Society even conducted a study to explore how individuals with (or without) facial hair are seen by others. Women rated men with facial hair as more attractive and appearing healthier than those who were clean-shaven — and now male service members want major change.

Today’s male soldiers, however, are just going to have to rely on the uniform to gain an edge over civilians — since the appearance of the gas mask, the beard has been strictly regulated by the military. There are certain exceptions, however, such as a new regulation that will allow service members to wear a beard for religious reasons or operations where a beard could help service members blend in better with the local population (for example in Afghanistan).

The Navy does not allow mustaches alone but does allow full-set beards. Mustaches but not beards are permitted in the Army and Air Force. However, members of the Commando and Special Forces regiments are allowed to wear beards if based outside their home camps.

But until the U.S. military embraces the beard, it’ll remain a rare sight on our warriors. All the more reason to admire the best military beards in history so far.
