NATO Special Operations Forces

Eric Sof

In the last decade, the NATO alliance is shifting from conventional large-scale forces to surgical precise special units. The very best special operations units from NATO countries are training side-by-side and driving through various scenarios where cooperation means everything. They operate under the NATO Special Operations Headquarters (NSHQ) and are widely known as the NATO Response Force.

This type of cooperation provided advanced military capabilities to air, maritime, and land operations. That means that such units are able to strike anywhere in the world on short notice. In fact, that means it is a high readiness force comprising land, air, sea, and special forces units capable of being deployed quickly on operations wherever needed.

Located at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Mons, Belgium and under the daily direct operational command of the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) they are able to act anywhere in the world in a matter of time.
