American Heroes

All gave some; some gave all is the phrase which could perfectly describe American heroes who fought through history. World Wars, Korea, Vietnam, War on Terror… Those brave men and women defended our country and were ready to die for that cause.

A lot of them gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we can live free and their memory will live on forever. At least, we can do is to remember them and tell our children about those brave warriors who defended our freedom. They need to know about Gary Gordon, Randall Shughart, Ben Salomon, Ivica Jerak, Joshua Wheeler and many other American heroes…

is widely attributed to the Korean War veteran and purple heart recipient Howard William Osterkamp from Dent, Ohio. Osterkamp served in the Army from 1951 to 1953, during which he experienced heavy combat in Korea with his unit, the C Company, 5th Regimental Combat Team.
