Former U.S. Special Forces operative saves girl under heavy fire in Mosul

A humanitarian worker is risking his life to save a little girl from the shooting of Daesh. The scene went on a Friday under the scorching sun of Iraq in Mosul. David Eubank, a former U.S. Special Forces soldier now reverted to the patrolling humanitarian in the city when he saw bodies. All were slaughtered trying to flee by the snipers of the Islamic State.

In the distance David noticed movement among a group of corpses, it was a little girl of 5 years, hidden beside her dead mother. He quickly drew up a plan with the help of the Iraqi soldiers present. The soldiers launched smoke bombs and shot in the direction of the Daesh fighters to cover the former American soldier. The man came back after a few seconds with the girl in her arms.
